Analytics Error Messages

Understanding and resolving error messages in Accounts Revenue, Project Analytics, and Team Revenue.

Analytics Error Messages

The analytics pages (Accounts Revenue, Project Analytics, and Team Revenue) display error messages to help identify missing or incomplete data. These errors don't prevent the analytics from running - they highlight issues that may affect accuracy.

General Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Check date ranges: Many errors occur when salary, overhead, or rate schedule records don't cover the selected date range. Ensure effective dates are set correctly.

  2. Review employee setup: For accurate cost calculations, each employee needs:

    • A salary record (Team > Salaries)
    • A work pattern (Team > Work Patterns)
    • An office assignment (Team > Members)
  3. Verify office configuration: Each office needs overhead configured in Settings > Offices & Departments for accurate cost calculations.

  4. Project completeness: For accurate project analytics, ensure projects have:

    • Quote amount (before work begins)
    • Invoice amount (after billing)
    • Time tracked against them
  5. Errors vs accuracy: The analytics will still run with errors, but the numbers may be incomplete. Resolve errors for the most accurate financial reporting.
